The new Kaikon T is the newest addition to the Kaikon family. As with its predecessors, this new Kaikon T will definitely have a cult following amongst the Kaikon fans. The reel is primarily designed for extreme heavy rock fishing; but its versatility has seen it being used as a jigging, bottom fishing and surfcast reel as well.
The Kaikon T also has an inbuilt Tanatoru line counter that is less obtrusive and more ergonomic; enabling you to palm the side of the reel without any discomfort. The battery life span of the electronic counter is nothing short of phenomenal, with a working life of 10 years. (When used at a projected rate of 50 days in a year, up to 50 times in a day)
The waterproof roller clutch system has also been improved and the reel is richly anodized in a metallic gunsmoke hue to make it more corrosion resistant and low maintenance.
Other improvements include a cold forged star drag wheel that has a flattened profile to give the user a surer grip and to reduce the pressure on the fingers when adjusting the drag at high drag settings.
Drag capability is also increased to 13kg. Like the original Kaikon, the Kaikon T also comes with a line out clicker and spool lock function for you to break off your line should your rig get stuck.
